Nvidia: UBS Cuts Ests, Target On Competitive Pressures

UBS chip analyst Uche Orji this morning trimmed his price target on Nvidia (NVDA) to $22 from $23 and reduced his earnings estimates, citing expected improved competitiveness from rival AMD s graphics processors. He doesn t expect share loss to AMD, but contends NVDA will be forced to respond to AMD s new GPUs by cutting prices. For the fiscal Q2 ended July, he now sees EPS of 26 cents, down from 28 cents. For the January 2009 fiscal year, he goes to $1.27, from $1.42. For FY 2010, he s now at $1.21, down from $1.39. Orji maintains a Neutral rating on the stock.The Street has a vigorou...
