i2 Wins $83.3 Million Patent Settlement From SAP

SAP has agreed to pay $83.3 million to i2 (ITWO) to settle patent litigation between the two companies. Under the deal, both companies will provide a license to certain patents held by the other. Each has also agreed not to pursue litigation against the other.In an 8-K filing with the SEC to announce the settlement, i2 said the cash will be received in the third quarter. The settlement is worth about $3.87 per ITWO share; as of the close yesterday, the company had a market cap of $272.9 million.This morning, ITWO is up $1.26, or 9.9%, to $13.98. ...
