Yesterday evening after market close, I listened to Rick Simonson, chief financial officer of Nokia (NOK) at the JP Morgan technology conference in Boston. Simonson made many of the remarks often heard about Nokia when the threat of Apple s (AAPL) iPhone comes up, or Research in Motion s (RIMM) BlackBerry: Nokia has tons and tons of different phones, a top brand, and the best distribution channel, meaning, the best way of gettings its branded phones to market.
