Apple: 2 Firms Up Targets; Apple.com Out Of iPhones

There are a couple of noteworthy items from the Street this morning on Apple (AAPL) and its pending launch of a 3G version of the iPhone.Analysts at Piper Jaffray and Cross Research both noted today that iPhones are currently unavailable from Apple s online stores in the U.S. and the U.K. (Check for yourself: the store lists both 8GB and 16 GB models as currently unavailable. ) Piper s Gene Munster also notes that a check found iPhones in stock at 6 of 11 U.S, retail stores he called.
