Xirrus raises $26M for enterprise WiFi

Xirrus is a Westlake Village, Calif. company that makes a WiFi router that it says can replace ethernet workgroup switches.Generally speaking, hard-wired switches are required for work groups, due to high bandwidth requirements and security needs. Xirrus claims its replacement results in lower costs and less equipment.The $26 million funding was led by Canaan Partners.
