Virginia Tech patent harnesses solar energy for fuel cells

A firm from Canada has received a patent for a method of generating low-cost hydrogen from common water feedstock for use in fuel cells. The model was developed by Virginia Tech, which licensed the patent to Phoenix Canada Oil s U.S. division. Phoenix s technology harnesses solar light energy and converts it to hydrogen through a catalyst containing PGMs as well as other materials....
