Peter Hambro, Aricom create $5B holding company

Peter Hambro Mining [LSE:POG] and Aricom [LSE:ORE] are forming a holding company, Petropavlovsk Group of Companies, with an estimated capitalization of $5 billion. The new firm will run their Russia-based gold, iron ore and ilmenite mining assets, according to Interfax. In mid-June, Peter Hambro led a group of investors composed of itself, BlackRock Investment Management, GLG Partners LP, Lansdowne Partners Ltd. and Endeavour Mining Capital Corp. in lending $80 million to Rusoro Mining [TSX-V:RML]....
