Sherwood increases copper-gold resources estimate at Minto

Sherwood Copper Corp. [TSX-V:SWC] has increased its resource estimates at the Minto copper-gold mine in the Yukon. The company said drilling in 2007 raised its estimate of copper by 50% and of precious metals by 40%, and this is not including this year's drilling of 51 holes. The new estimates are based on a measured resource of 11.5 million tonnes of ore grading 1.78% copper, 0.66 g/t gold and 6.85 g/t silver, for 448.8 million pounds of copper, 240,000 ounces of gold and 2.5 million ounces of silver.
