Waseco secures C$2M for Quebec uranium exploration through Areva option

Areva Group is putting C$2 million into exploration in the Labrador Trough in northern Quebec through an option arrangement with Waseco Resources Inc. [TSX-V:WRI]. The agreement announced Monday extends a 2006 option arrangement Waseco had with UraMin, acquired by Areva last summer for C$2.5 billion. Waseco said the option now runs through June 2010 and Areva will provide C$2 million in exploration funding over the next two years to earn a half-interest in uranium and related minerals found on the Waseco property....
