Economic Outlook: Inflationary pressures ease in April

SEATTLE (ResourceInvestor.com) -- The Labor Department reported Wednesday that consumer prices edged up 0.2% last month, compared to a 0.3% rise in March. Core inflation showed prices well behaved in April, rising by just 0.1%, compared to a 0.2% gain in March, according to AP. In housing news, RealtyTrac Inc. reported that 243,353 homes nationwide received at least one foreclosure-related filing in April, up 65% from 147,708 in the same month last year and up 4% since March.
