One concept I've never been a fan of is buying a basket of different stocks to capture a theme. I'm not talking about an ETF, but instead buying several different stocks to capture something like airports or maybe farmland stocks to pick two for which there is no ETF.How much will a 50 year old investor with a $500,000 portfolio (so not very rich but still probably in decent shape) allocate to toll roads? If he has an 75/25 target allocation would he put 10%, $37,500, into toll roads? Probably not.I doubt even 5% would be right but in this case 5% would be $18,750. Realistically how many stock...
