Oops. You actually can call your building family friendly

Very belated correction: A year ago I pointed out a New York Times article that warned real estate agents against describing an apartment building as family friendly. The reason, supposedly, was that you might be perceived as discriminating against childless couples. What I failed to notice was that an official of the Department of Housing and Urban Development wrote to the Times a couple of weeks later saying that in fact there's nothing wrong with calling a building family friendly.
