Barclays boosted by share sale. Barclays (BCS) is up 5.7% in pre-market trading. It said it is raising 4.5B ($8.9B) in a share sale, with Sumitomo Mitsui and Qatar taking stakes. Half of the money will go to fund new opportunities, and the other half will be used to raise its capital level.UBS hires advisors.
